Mass Intentions

"In full consciousness of this communion of the whole Mystical Body of Jesus Christ, the Church in its pilgrim members, from the very earliest days of the Christian religion, has honored with great respect the memory of the dead; and 'because it is a holy and a wholesome thought to pray for the dead that they may be loosed from their sins' she offers her suffrages for them." Our prayer for them is capable not only of helping them, but also of making their intercession for us effective. (CCC 958)

With our ever-growing parish, we have had to make some changes in regards to scheduling Mass intentions. Traditionally we would accept Masses said throughout the year and try to accommodate all requests. However, due to an influx of those wishing to have a Mass said, the availability of open Masses has significantly decreased. Therefore, we had to make the decision to alter the way we accept Mass requests.

  • We will only be booking Masses for 6 months at a time:
  • The 2027 book will be opened on November 1, 2026. At that time, we will schedule Masses for January through June 2027.
  • On May 1, 2027, we will open the remainer of the book and schedule Masses for July – December 2027.

  • Each family may schedule no more than one ONE Mass per month.

  • Only one Mass in the first half of the year (Jan - Jun) and only one Mass in the second half of the year (July-Dec) may be scheduled for a weekend Mass (4:00 PM, 8:30 AM or 6:00 PM). Please note that no Mass intentions are taken for the 10:30 Mass as this is always offered for the intentions of the people of the parish.

  • Each Mass is offered for only one person - either for the repose of the soul of a single departed person (ie: + John Smith) or for the intentions of a single living person. Exceptions may be made for a married couple (ie: Mr. & Mrs. John Smith) or for a family unit (ie: The Smith Family).

  • A stipend of $10 per Mass is payable at the time of request.

  • You will need to call, stop by or email the office for any Mass requests. The office is open M-Th 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. Gift Shop volunteers are not able to schedule Mass requests.

  • Alternatively, you are welcome to schedule a private Mass. These Masses will not be listed in the bulletin or be able to be said on a specific date.

We appreciate your patience with these changes. Our goal is to have open Masses for all who wish to pray for their loved ones.

Is any one among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? …

The prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5:13-15)
