It's been a good but challenging week.

Four Felician Sisters spent the week with me for a directed retreat (four more will begin on July 11). It was a wonderful week to reflect together on the Scriptures, on the activity of the Lord in our lives, and to resolve again t follow Him without limit. As the four Sisters joined the parish community this morning for Mass (along with several members of the Catholic Lawyers' Guild), I couldn't help but think about the luxury it is to give or be a part of retreat. It's a gift to spend significant time praying, meditating and sharing the gift of faith.

How blessed we are to have such an opportunity!
