He is a graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY, with an undergraduate degree in Organ Performance and a Master of Education degree in Music Education. Father Joe entered the Capuchin Franciscan Friars in 1984 and obtained an Master of Divinity from Immaculate Conception Seminary in South Orange, NJ, in 1994. After serving for a year in Cochabamba, Bolivia, he was ordained a priest in November,1995 at Sacred Heart Monastery Church in Yonkers, NY. He served in Saint Anne, Blessed Sacrament and Saint Marie parishes in Manchester, and was administrator of Immaculate Conception parish in Penacook. He was incardinated into the Diocese of Manchester in 2001. Father Joe has served the Diocese in the Office for Worship and Diocesan Master of Ceremonies from 1997 to 2007. At present, he teaches the Sacraments and Liturgy course for the diocesan Lay Ministry Formation Institute at the Saint Anselm College site.
